Published in : 2005 Available in : English, Spanish A call for action following 15 years since the Innocenti Declaration on the Protection, Promotion and Support of Breastfeeding and the 2002 Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding and in order to meet the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. It calls on governments, manufacturers, NGOs, multilateral and bilateral organizations and financial institutions to adhere to their responsibilities to promote healthy infant and young child feeding practices including the promotion of breastfeeding. It concludes with operational targets based on the 1990 Innocenti Declaration and the Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding (WHO, 2003).
