Published in : 2000 Available in : English This Nutrition Policy Paper was produced by the ACC/SCN in collaboration with the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh: Centre for Health and Population Research. It summarizes the proceedings of the Low Birthweight Symposium and Workshop held in Dhaka in June 1999. Evidence regarding interventions to prevent low birthweight and to improve the health of infants affected with low birthweight is presented in this Nutrition Policy Paper. We hope this spurs policy-makers, donors and programme planners to take immediate action regarding this important public health problem.
