Although the idea that adequate nutrition should be regarded as a fundamental human right appears in many different contexts in international law - these are not binding in practice.
Another focus of this SCN News is on Nutrition Transition: Large shifts in dietary composition are taking place in some lower income countries with important implications for health and development - evidence from selected countries.
