This operational guidance manual outlines the potential benefits and challenges of incorporating food and nutritional support into anti-retroviral treatment programmes. The purpose is to assist national governments with the planning and implementation of food assistance programmes and to guide national bodies, implementing NGOs as well as WHO and WFP country staff.
